    Ventspils Ferry Passenger Terminal
    At the beginning of the Ostas Street promenade is the Ventspils Ferry Passenger Terminal, which provides regular ferry lines to Sweden. With the “Stena Line” ferries you can reach Nynashamn, near Stockholm, in 8.5 hours.

    Sculpture “”Sea Stone (Jūrakmens)”
    A natural object made of a 56-ton stone, found during the dredging of the port. The stone reminds of the development of the port and the importance of shipping.

    Environmental object “Latvian Black Cow (Latvijas melnā govs)”
    A symbolic cow sculpture that participated in the “Cow Parade” campaign in 2002. Depicts the contrast between the agricultural romance of the past and modern reality.

    Environmental object “Sea Cow (Jūras govs)”
    A sculpture designed as a wet cow emerging from the sea, symbolizing the proximity and mystery of the sea.

    Fountain “Ship Watcher (Kuģu vērotājs)”
    A monumental head-shaped sculpture whose “hair” is a jet of water. Is it crying for the departing ships or rejoicing for the new guests?

    Sculpture object “Seven Mental Meteorites (Septiņi mentālie meteorīti)”
    A group of stone sculptures, locally known as “stone ladybugs”. Each shape can be interpreted differently – from planets to the life cycle.

    Sculpture “Nature Sometimes Cuts Its Teeth (Daba dažkārt iecērt zobus)”
    A sculpture by Japanese sculptor Yoshio Yagi, which won the international stone sculpture symposium “Ventspils-2004”.

    Monument to Krišjānis Valdemārs
    A monument to the founder of Latvian seafaring with a bench next to it, inviting passersby to rest for a moment.

    Ventspils Freeport Authority Administrative Building
    A historic building built in 1898, which used to be the Royal Hotel, but is now the headquarters of the Freeport.

    Livonian Order Castle
    One of the oldest medieval fortresses in Latvia, now a modern museum presenting the history of Ventspils.

    Environmental object “Lats”
    A symbolic sculpture of a one lats coin “fish”, reminiscent of the history of the Latvian national currency.

    Sculpture “Cow “Waking Dreams””
    The 4-metre-high and 7-metre-long sculpture ‘Nomoda sapņi’ (Waking Dreams) with its bright and colourful design embodies creative transformation, depicts a modern interpretation of dreams in the waking world and enriches the urban environment of Ventspils with contemporary art.

    Monument “To Sailors and Fishermen”
    A memorial stone was erected in 1938 to sailors and fishermen who spent their lives at sea.

    Environmental object “Pilot ship “Rota””
    A ship that served in the port of Ventspils, which is now a sightseeing object and a historical monument.

    Environmental Heritage Exhibit “The Propeller “Human Power (Cilvēciskais spēks)”””
    An interactive object that shows how much human energy is needed for great achievements.4

    Various navigation buoys that introduce maritime safety.

    Harbour Master’s Service
    Port traffic management center, which ensures safe navigation in the Port of Ventspils.
