Ventspils science center VIZIUM invites you to a creative and attractive gathering on the beautiful terrace of the science center, where anyone interested will have the opportunity to participate in various free activities and spend time accompanied by great music performed by DJ Tom Grēvinas. The Terrace Day is on Saturday, August 5, from 12:00 to 4 p.m. and is part of the Ventspils City Day.
After the festive march in honour of the Ventspils City Day is over, we are happy to invite everyone to the Terrace Day at VIZIUM. Both adults and children, families and groups of friends will find activities to their liking there. Everyone who loves relaxing to the accompaniment of great music while sipping a delicious drink can come!
Guests of the event will have the opportunity to participate in various VIZIUM’s scientific experiments and technical creative workshops by making catapults and wind indicators, playing a robot hockey, getting to know what chromatography and surface tension is, as well as by experiencing creativity of technologies.
The Ventspils Digital Centre is inviting to participate in the activities titled “Parents are also stylish”. The parents will be given a chance to get to know the popular app TikTok together with their children, learning simple dance steps and creating a video to be sent then to their e-mail. Besides, the adults will have an opportunity to test their knowledge and improve it in the “Toughies Game”.
Every adventure seeker will have a chance to test their orientation skills and find a way out of the large labyrinth, which will be located on the lawn near the entrance to the Science Centre’s terrace. Then, to replenish the power and move a bit together, guests are welcome to enjoy the energising performance by dancers of Marijas Dance Studio. And, surely, no party without beautiful photos! Guests of the Terrace Day will have the opportunity to take photos in the Photo Box and receive them at once as a photo souvenir!
On the terrace, a chill zone with poufs will be offered for the guests of the Terrace Day to relax and enjoy the festive mood together to the accompaniment of attractive music by DJ Toms Grēviņš. For more convenience, “West Cafe” will be in charge of selling drinks and snacks to our guests.
All activities on the terrace of the science centre will be free-of-charge. However, you may also visit the Science Centre’s exhibition by buying entrance tickets at the Science Centre’s box office or on the website. The Science Centre’s exhibition hall can only accommodate a limited number of visitors at a time, once this is reached, ticket sales will be temporarily suspended. Visitors are kindly asked to be considerate and to purchase tickets in advance on the website, thus reserving their visit time!
