Night of Museums to Take Place in Ventspils Museum on Saturday, 13 May. On Saturday, 13 May, Ventspils Museum will host a nightlife event in all of its locations and, in keeping with tradition, admission is free on the Night of Museums! The Livonian Order Castle will welcome lovers of the Middle Ages, with medieval readings featuring well-known and renowned scholars of music, architectural history and simply history, there will be medieval music performed by the ancient music ensemble “Trakula” and dancing performed by the dance group “Ballare”, there will be craftsmen and craftswomen all over the place, and the courtyard will allow you to warm your hands and heart with a live fire and hot drink (“Pilskrogs”).

The House of Crafts will welcome those who want to listen and learn more about art and beauty in a think-tank with Jānis Rudzītis, whereas at the opening of the exhibition “Man. House” you will also have the opportunity to meet its creators – the Rudzītis family.

At the H.Dorbe Museum, through an educational programme, you will be able to observe how trees grow in the writer’s garden and create thoughts in a poetic atmosphere together with the poet Maija Laukmane.

At the Boat House of the Seaside Open Air Museum, after 10 pm, light drawing creation will take place.
