The fountain “Saules laivinas” is located in the Jaunpilseta square in the very center of the city. Pool area 250 m².
The fountain splashes the water in a form of tiny droplets so that in sunny days one can see a rainbow above seven floating boats made out of polished stone.
It is located in the square in the new part of the town, right in the City center. The fountain pool – a symbolic sea, in the center of the square is designed in the form of a lens with seven sculptural objects – stone boats that take you home – to the seashore, the sun (stainless steel “boat spines”), in which fountain nozzles are embedded. The kinetics of the water are designed in the form of fog, creating the effect that the boats arrive at the shore in a light fog.
