On Sunday, May 4th, at 4:00 p.m., a festive concert will be held at the “Latvija” concert hall to celebrate the Day of Restoration of the Independence of the Republic of Latvia. The concert will feature Rihards Mačanovskis (bass-baritone), Marta Spārniņa (violin), Guntars Freibergs (percussion), and Aigars Reinis (organ).
The concert will be opened with a speech by the Chairman of Ventspils State City Municipality Council, Jānis Vītoliņš. The festive concert program will feature works by Latvian composers Pēteris Vasks, Rihards Dubra, Rihards Zaļupe, and Jānis Lūsēns.
The concert is organized by SIA “Kurzemes filharmonija” with financial support from the Ventspils City Municipality, and attendance will traditionally be free of charge. Free admission tickets can be obtained at the “Latvija” concert hall box office.
