The repertoire includes violin concerto and choral compositions by Imants Ramiņš.
Māris Sirmais, who is the artistic director of this concert, included the a cappella compositions “Stabat Mater” and “Alleluia, Amen” in the concert at the special request of the author. In addition, the concert will feature the choral composition “Jūrai” (the author’s tribute to the State Academic Choir “Latvija”), “Singet dem Herrn”, etc., as well as “Jau sauļeite” (the author’s tribute to Māris Sirmaj). A special event will be the first performance of Imanta Ramiņa’s Concert for violin and orchestra in Latvia, which will be performed by soloist Laura Zariņa and the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra.
