On 31 May, Vārve will host “Venta Festival” – a summer event on the banks of the River Venta, which for the fourth year will bring together locals and visitors from all over the area. Visitors are invited to enjoy a varied programme throughout the day – from the boat trip “Carnival of Floats” and delicious surprises to musical performances and warm fellowship close to nature.
The beginning of the program – a water adventure called “The Float Parade”
The festive day will kick off at 3:00 PM with the traditional boat ride “The Float Parade,” starting from the Leči parking lot and finishing at the Vārve beach. Both individual participants and teams are welcome to register. The float can be anything – a boat, raft, pedal boat, or something more creative – the main requirement is that it stays afloat!
Evening program – flavor, music, and dancing
From At 5:00 PM, the festive center will move to the stage in the heart of Vārve.
The program will begin with “Young Local Talents” – creative and promising artists from Ventspils Municipality will take the stage. At At 6:00 PM, food lovers and curious culinary enthusiasts will have the chance to watch a cooking show by chef Elvis Rībens, where cooking will be transformed into a true experience of delight.
At At 8:00 PM, Miks Galvanovskis and his band will energize the stage, and starting from 9:20 PM, the festive highlight – an open-air dance party with the band “Hono.”
