“Baltic Melancholy” is a dreamy, musical journey into the soul of a Baltic person – from Emīls Dārziņš’ Melancholic Waltz and Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis’ mysterious music to the new compositions of Kārlis Rērihs and Jānis Lūsēns, which sound like personal stories, and Ēriks Ešenvalds’ emotional Songs of David – a concert where music becomes a bridge between longing and light.

The concert is part of the Summer Evening Concerts subscription, which offers access to the concerts at a special discounted price of €20.00.

The Summer Evening Concerts will offer the opportunity to experience a special atmosphere – on leisurely Friday evenings, in the beautiful concert hall “Latvija,” listeners can indulge in romantic moods, lightness, and the enjoyment brought by live music and presence.

The concert is organized by SIA “Kurzemes filharmonija.”
