On June 7th, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, a creative and inspiring large-scale decorative thistle-making masterclass will take place at the Puzē Community Centre.
Together, we will create one of the most resilient symbols of Latvian nature – the thistle – using a special and contemporary material called isolon. During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn a unique flower-making technique that transforms flat sheets into three-dimensional, realistically looking artificial flowers. Isolon is a lightweight, flexible, and moisture-resistant material that allows flowers to retain their shape over time – making it perfect for decorative purposes at home, for celebrations, or even as backdrops for photo shoots.
During the masterclass, you will:
– get acquainted with the properties of isolon and learn how to handle it properly;
– master professional techniques for thermally shaping flower petals;
– discover how to achieve a natural and three-dimensional look for your flower.
Each participant will create their own unique thistle flower to take home.
The masterclass is suitable for both beginners and those already working in creative fields or decorative arts. It’s a great opportunity to develop your artistic skills, unwind from daily worries, and create something truly beautiful with your own hands. All materials are included in the price. We will provide everything needed for the creative process, as well as a pleasant atmosphere and an inspiring environment.
