On 6 September 2025, the Ventspils County Festival will take place in Pope Manor Park, Church, and Open-Air Stage, bringing together the county’s amateur art groups, distinguished locals, and professional musicians.
At Pope Manor, at 1:00 p.m., the Ventspils Municipality amateur ensemble concert “Summer Still in the Heart” will begin. On one stage, all Ventspils Municipality folk dance groups, vocal ensembles, and the mixed choir “Dzintara balsis” will come together, joined by a backing band led by Anatolijs Livča. The highlight of the concert will be the premiere of the Ventspils Municipality anthem, with lyrics by Katrīna Uļjāne and music by Ginta Rūse. An exhibition of works by Ventspils Municipality artists will also be on display.
At 2:30 p.m. – “Conversation with a Local.” In a discussion led by Inga Ieviņa, each of the 12 parishes of Ventspils Municipality will be represented – with stories shared by local entrepreneurs, community activists, and municipal representatives. This will be an opportunity to hear inspiring stories about life in the municipality – rooted in heritage, driven by passion, and guided by a vision for the future.
Meanwhile, at 4:00 p.m. in Pope Evangelical Lutheran Church, visitors will be able to enjoy the closing concert of the Sacred Music Festival “With Faith in the Heart.” The special concert program will feature Līga Ivāne (organ) and Ieva Veide (kokle). The program will consist exclusively of works by Latvian composers – a musical message of faith, tradition, and Latvian identity within the European spiritual space.
The grand finale of the Ventspils County Festival will take place at 6:00 p.m. on the Pope open-air stage with a performance by the legendary rock band Līvi. Opening the concert will be singer Atis Ieviņš.
