On the first weekend of August, engines will roar in Ventspils as part of the Drag Race Festival! With the support of the Ventspils City Council, the most powerful drag racing cars from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Sweden and Finland will gather at the Ventspils Airport from August 1 to 3.
Last year, the Drag Racing Festival took place as part of the Ventspils City Festival with a record number of participants, and this year, the Baltic Cup and Lithuanian Championship will also take place as part of the event.
The organizers invite everyone to have a great time during the first August holidays in Ventspils – enjoying both the city festival and this impressive drag racing festival, where everyone will be able to see cars with power starting from 1500 hp! Spectators will be delighted by the gathering of various car clubs and car exhibitions.
“The event has been organized in a festival style for 3 years now, which includes not only official drag racing competitions, but also various entertainment options and shows. Last year, the event was heard at an international level, so for the first time, special guests from Finland and Sweden will come to the event. We can say with confidence – such cars have not been seen in Latvia before!” comment the organizers.
The event organizers have made a big announcement this year, inviting everyone in Ventspils to see the MONSTER TRUCK show during the event!
“With each year we try to improve the event – this year we have taken care of VIP places in the stands, the smallest visitors to the event will have the opportunity to relax in the children’s entertainment area. The biggest show of this year’s event – the Monster Truck show – everyone will have the opportunity to see it in person, take photos, talk to the driver in person and get an autograph! See you at our festival!” comments the competition organizer.
Tickets can be purchased at the event venue and in advance at www.aula.lv, entrance on the day of the event from 12:00 (for information – limited number of seats).
