Concert program „MIRDZOŠS BRĪTIŅŠ”
As part of the fourth Ventspils region sacred music festival “From Baroque to the Present Day”, “MIRDZOŠS BRĪTIŅŠ” on June 27, 2025 at the Zlēki Evangelical Lutheran Parish Church, the concert program includes original works by outstanding Latvian composers – both organ music and vocal chamber music. The compositions of Jāz. Vītols, Em. Dārziņš, Alfr. Kalniņš, L. Garūta, H. Pavasars, J. Kalniņš, B. Skulte, V. Dārziņš, M. Zariņš and Im. Zemzars will be performed. This year, we especially commemorate the composer Emīls Dārziņš on his 150th anniversary. The concert will feature soloist Laura Kancāne (soprano), and Vita Kalnciema on organ and piano.
