The E-BOP project is an electric tribute to bebop – a modern interpretation of the jazz bebop tradition, where the music of Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Bud Powell, Charles Mingus and other classic authors takes on a new, electrified sound.
The program focuses on transforming the language of bebop into a contemporary musical context, preserving its improvisational freedom, rhythmic tension, and harmonic complexity, while expanding the sound with electric instruments and contemporary sound textures. The result is a dynamic, energetic, and contemporary interpretation of jazz, where tradition meets contemporary sound aesthetics.
The musicians' union offers strong rhythmic energy, improvisational intensity, and a contemporary perspective on the legacy of bebop.
