On February 12, at 5:30 PM, the opening of the exhibition “On Nature and Inner Peace” by Ventspils art studio “INDalii” will take place.
The exhibition "On Nature and Inner Peace" is an invitation to a peaceful dialogue with oneself and the world around us. It is a visual experience that does not impose, but allows you to feel the truth and the present. The works are made in acrylic technique.
The origins of the art studio “INDalii” can be found in shared experience and movement – all the studio members were once united by dancing in the same collective. During the Covid-19 restrictions, an impulse arose to seek a new form of creative expression, which resulted in several years of collaboration with teacher Ineta, an interest in drawing and painting developed.
The studio’s director, Ineta Niedola, has a master’s degree in art and has worked for many years at the Ventspils Museum as a metal and archaeological material restorer, exhibition and event organizer, and has also been a drawing teacher at the Ventspils Art School and the Ventspils House of Creativity. Sharing her knowledge and experience, a small and creative art studio called “INDalii” was born.
In September 2024, the studio participants presented their work to a wider audience for the first time at the Ventspils Gāliņciems Library exhibition “So Different”. The exhibition was later also exhibited in the exhibition hall of the Rojas TIC center and in Dobele Castle.
Several members work at the Ventspils art studio “INDalii”, and this exhibition will feature the works of eight members — Liene Salmiņa, Zaiga Rūtenberga, Dace Cirvele, Inga Cāzere, Janīna Skudra, Marija Blūma and Agnese Laure, Ineta Niedola.
The exhibition will be available at the Ventspils University of Applied Sciences library from March 9 to 13.
