In July, guests of the Ventspils Science Center VIZIUM will be offered educational and creative activities, where through practical experiments and creative activities, they will discover the secrets of light, how the world around us works, learn about optical illusions, sound and much more! The new science show will explore the beauty and mystery of fire, while in the “3D Game Development Hackathon” students will create their own game.

Also, from July, visitors to the science center will be offered new sciences show "Before the Ashes", in which we will explore how fire behaves under different conditions, why fire sometimes dances in colorful flames, and how to control it safely. Amazing experiments will demonstrate the power, beauty, and mysteries of fire – in the language of science, but in a fun and understandable way. The science show "Science in a Box" also continues, in which show visitors actively participate and discover the secrets of physics.

Meanwhile, on July 15 and 16, students in grades 4–11 are invited to participate. VIZIUM at the “3D Game Development Hackathon”, where everyone will have the opportunity to create their own 3D game. During the day, participants will learn a little bit of everything needed to create a game: 3D modeling, animation, music, physics, artificial intelligence, various 3D programs, Roblox Studio tools and codes. Also in the summer, preschool children have the opportunity to visit the science center. VISION “Little Researchers Workshop”. Little researchers have the opportunity to be creative and conduct exciting experiments, getting to know the STEM world in an interesting way, as well as play in the Little Researchers Gallery together with the smiling VIZIUM teachers, giving parents a little respite. Also continues in July and August Summer day camp “TehnoEco: STEAM wizard”! Six-year-olds and students in grades 1-5 are waiting for exciting and diverse STEM classes both in the classrooms and laboratory, as well as in the exhibition hall. During the camp, there will be an opportunity not only to explore the world of technology and natural sciences, but also to actively and fun spend time outside of VIZIUM with new friends.
