The Chocolate Factory “Pobeda”

Pobeda Confectionery is an international company founded in 1999, which is the largest manufacturer of chocolate and confectionery products. In the 4090 square meter wide production premises built by the Ventspils Freeport Authority, one of the most modern chocolate production plants in Europe is located – a subsidiary of the Russian family confectionery company Pobeda. The chocolate production line allows to produce up to 2.5 tons of the sweet products per hour. The company's assortment – more than 1000 names of chocolates and candies, products are exported to more than 20 countries around the world. The company's products gain well-deserved recognition in international competitions, their quality is regularly evaluated with the highest level diplomas and awards.

Visitors in the factory located in Ventspils, which is equipped with the latest equipment, will get acquainted with the whole chocolate production process within one and a half hour from beans to bars:

  • learn what are the quality ingredients of chocolate;
  • taste its different varieties;
  • participate in a master class prepared by the factory's best technologists;
  • be able to prepare their special chocolate dessert.

The introduction to production begins with a demonstration of the main ingredients of chocolate the visitors of the factory will see how cocoa beans are ground and how butter is obtained from grated cocoa.

After that, the tour will continue in the production workshops. The participants of the tour will learn how the latest equipment works and see how important cleanliness is in the production of chocolate. All containers are equipped with special filters that prevent any, even the finest particles of sugar and cocoa powder from entering the air. 

After visiting the storage area, the visitors will see a special station where sugar, milk, cocoa powder and cocoa butter are mixed in defined proportions to turn into chocolate within a few hours.
