The Vienna Strauss Festival Orchestra will participate, conducted by maestro Peters Guth.
The Vienna Strauss Festival Orchestra has been in existence for 30 years and is the official Vienna orchestra. The orchestra has gained international recognition for its original interpretation of Viennese music, performing a wide repertoire of classical compositions, as well as works by the Strauss dynasty and the masters of Viennese operetta. The orchestra consists not only of Austrian musicians, but also of the best artists from other countries of the world. The orchestra often performs surprising musical jokes and operetta fragments in its performances.
Conductor maestro Peters Guth – a student of the famous David Oistrakh, remaining faithful to the tradition of Strauss' contemporaries, conducts with a violin in his hands and does so vividly and masterfully that every listener is inevitably drawn into the musical vortex.
