The National Armed Forces Headquarters Orchestra invites you to the concert program “LATin”, which will take place in Ventspils on March 26 at 19.00:XNUMX p.m. at the Ventspils Concert Hall “Latvija”. The concert program “LATin” is dedicated to spring, the time of nature’s awakening, and invites listeners to experience various musical rhythms together with the orchestra and conductors Major Andis Karelis and Captain Aleksandrs Kreišmanis.

The selected repertoire includes music by foreign composers well-known in the world, but rarely performed in Latvia, as well as works by Latvian composers. The authors of the music included in the concert program are Morton Gould (Morton Gould), Guido Rennert (Guido Rennert), Astor Piazzolla (Astor Piazzolla), Raimonds Pauls and others. A poignant accent is planned for the soprano saxophone solo of Sergeant Vasilijs Šušerts. The concert audience will also be delighted with their performance by the popular soloist Sergeant Gatis Supe (vocals) and the clarinet quartet “Quattro Differente”.

“With the onset of spring, we receive more and more sunlight. We want to stay outside more often, we feel a kind of awakening from “winter sleep”, energy, and movement helps us a lot in all this. We have searched for the repertoire for this concert program in warm countries, drawing parallels with our beloved Latvia. We have chosen those compositions that are based on sharp, syncopated rhythms, as well as fast tempos. We hope that the orchestra's playing and the rapid movement of the music will captivate the audience, entice them to the dance floor and allow them to be in an elevated mood,” says Captain Aleksandrs Kreišmanis, conductor of the National Armed Forces Headquarters Orchestra.
