There will be an opportunity to watch a newsreel from May 1967 about the everyday life of the Ventspils fishing collective farm "Red Lighthouse".
At the time of the newsreel, 5 ships of the “Red Lighthouse” were in the Atlantic, 50 ships in the Baltic Sea, and one was under repair. The chairman of the collective farm was Augusts Bērziņš. Under his leadership, the collective farm had grown – the old fishing port had become narrow, and the fishermen’s collective farm was building a new port. The newsreel shows one of the collective farm captains – Arvīds Kārkliņš, the fishermen, and the fishing process.
