The closing concert will feature festival participants, as well as the Matīs Čudars trio!

Matīss Čudars (guitar), Edvīns Ozols (double bass), Ivars Arutjunjans (percussion).

The trio consists of versatile guitarist Matīss Čudars, who holds a master's degree in composition from the prestigious Yale University, jazz drummer Ivars Arutjunjans, a graduate of the Copenhagen Rhythm Conservatory and laureate of prestigious competitions, as well as Latvian Radio Big Band double bassist Edvīns Ozols.
The trio won the Great Music Award of the Year last year in the “Concert of the Year” category for their concert on July 2022, 19 at the cultural venue “M/Darbnīca”. The personal experience of each musician in various styles comes together in the album in an organic fusion of jazz, blues and country. Their music is permeated by both their love for the vast worlds of African and Indian rhythms, as well as their own Latvian melodiousness.
Matīs Čudaras Trio's first album "Take Your Time", released in September 2023, is an insight into the ensemble's music-making process, in which the collected compositions and melodies cherished over many years provide the listener with aesthetic pleasure and emotional comfort, take them on a walk, sometimes a light run, through various, unusually decorated rooms, and at times imperceptibly pose a difficult-to-remember riddle.
