Exhibition “Fragments. Painting by Imants Lancmanis” at the Ventspils Museum in the Livonian Order Palace, Jāņa Street 17, from February 23 to April 1.

The Ventspils Museum in the Livonian Order Palace will host the exhibition "Fragments. Painting by Imants Lancmanis" from February 23, which features works from the Latvian National Museum of Art, the Zuzāns Collection (in collaboration with the Art Center "Zuzeum"), the author's and private collections.

Although the exhibition, which is set up in the palace atrium and galleries, provides only a small insight into the artist's creative work, the exhibited works - landscapes, still lifes and compositions - are a kind of concentrate and the magic of Imants Lancmanis' art is at work here.

Imants Lancmanis (1941) opened his ambitious solo exhibition “The Art of Imants Lancmanis” at the Latvian National Museum of Art a year ago. The retrospective exhibition offered viewers the opportunity to see several painting cycles for the first time, including Oak cycle, which is also exhibited in Ventspils.
