On June 2, we will celebrate the most colorful and fun-filled event of the year – the Children's Festival, which this year will combine joy, entertainment and knowledge under the theme “Safe Stays Safe”. On the morning of the festival, several hundred Ventspils children, together with their parents and teachers, will march from the Great Square to the main venue – the Children's Town, where various surprises, educational programs and entertainment activities for the whole family are expected.
At 10.00:XNUMX AM in the Main Square will begin preparations for the procession, during which those present will be entertained by the parade program of the Armed Forces National Guard Orchestra. At 10.30:10.20 a.m., the participants of the celebration will go on a joint festive procession to the Children's Town. During the procession from 11.10:XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX a.m., motorists should expect traffic restrictions on Lielaja prospekt and adjacent streets in the section from Ganību Street to Vasarnīču Street.
After the walk in the Children's Town participants will be greeted by the show “Transformers: Bumblebee 2024”. A children's concert will take place on stage until one in the afternoon. After that, all those who want to party are invited to participate in joint games with Marshall and Chase. Throughout the event, there will be an opportunity to participate in more than 20 different creative workshops and activities. “Greentrials” mini BMX and drift karts will captivate every adrenaline lover, the girls of “Endless Senses Story” will creatively entertain the youngest visitors, while “Steampanks” will demonstrate real metal armor and invite you to a paper armor-making master class. Various creative points organized by Ventspils municipal institutions will also be waiting for your participation.
The curious will be offered the opportunity to meet representatives of various state services, for example, from the State Fire and Rescue Service, the National Guard, the Youth Guard and customs. On site, you will be able to get acquainted with the student training companies and purchase the products they have developed. The defender of pure forests, Cūkmens, will also visit, reminding us once again about an environmentally friendly lifestyle.
In the afternoon at 15.00:XNUMX PM in the children's park "Fantasy" a theater performance for the whole family “How to become a superhero?”, presented by director Armands Ekštets’ “Theatre and the EU”.
