The group “Jumprava” will enter its fifth decade in 2025, and after the grand concert in Riga, at the Mežaparks stage, they want to meet listeners all over Latvia - on open-air stages and concert halls, preparing to play their best song program for the listeners and inviting them to sing along with all their hearts!
Latvians' all-time favorite noun is "nostalgia," and what could be more reminiscent of it than the songs of the legendary band "Jumprava," which have been with us in various life situations. We have all listened to them at school discos, at weddings, and simply on melancholic evenings with a glass of wine. And we have certainly all sung along to them.
If there is a song whose lyrics are known to everyone, if not everyone, then most of us are undoubtedly “Ziemeļmeita”. Both old and young know it, and this is one of the songs by “Jumprava”, which is included in the list of the best Latvian centenary songs of all time. “Šis ir mans auto!” is a song that is not only sung along to, but also reminds us of our youth – the maximalism of youth.
The concert will feature the band's most popular songs "Ziemeļmeita", "Peldētājs", "Ēna", "Vēlreiz", "Pa vējam", "Lēna upe", "Nedaudz par viņu" etc., as well as new compositions and long-forgotten songs in a new sound. Since the band's founding, its core lineup has included Aigars Grāvers, Aigars Grauba, Aigars Krēsla and the band's founder Ainars Ašmanis, and the band will invariably take the stage in its full lineup at these concerts as well!
