So far, with five wins in six games, the men from Ventspils region have taken the lead in the championship – Kārlis Libkovskis, Lauris Bērziņš, Jānis Krauze, Kristaps Neimanis, Jānis Ondrups and Mārtiņš Libkovskis. The regional team is followed by last season's champion team – team «Kaleidoskops» with four wins, so Sunday morning's game between the two teams promises to be intriguing. Each team still has four games to play in the championship, after which this season's medal winners will be determined.
The championship is supported by the Ventspils City Municipality and the Ventspils Freeport Authority. The club's juniors compete in the championship with the support of the Ventspils City Municipality, and the Ventspils region team - with the support of the Ventspils region municipality.
