The Dzelzceļnieku Street Festival will be celebrated in Ventspils with an opera concert and an extensive event program, also marking the 125th anniversary of the Railway Station.

From 12:00 all day long:

  • orienteering game
  • thematic exhibition in the Railway Station building
  • creative workshops
  • holiday market
  • Novus tournament
  • "open fences"
  • performances by amateur groups and young artists

At 4:00 p.m. the culmination of the celebration – Opera concert!

Popular opera arias, duets, melodies from operettas and musicals will be performed.

The concert program forms a colorful, comprehensive journey through the history of European opera music. It will feature singers known in Latvia – bass Edgars Ošleja, who is one of the brightest soloists of his generation at the Latvian National Opera, Anastasija Dolgoņenko, who has brilliantly proven herself at the Operetta Theatre by performing the title role of Franz Lehār in the operetta “Judith”, Viktorija Majore is one of the most actively performing singers, who is equally confident in performing opera, contemporary and chamber music. As well as tenor Juris Jope, known to the public as a charismatic stage artist with excellent acting skills and a suggestive timbre. The concertmaster, a laureate of many international competitions, has performed extensively in Europe, an annual Ventspils PIANO The organizer of the international master classes is Endijs Renemanis. The program will be complemented by new Ventspils Music High School graduates Laura Mitlere and Magone Pujēna, and the concertmaster is Andrejs Grīnbergs.

All activities and admission to the concert are free!

The event is supported by the Ventspils Freeport Authority, Ventspils Culture Centre, Ventspils Sports Authority and the State Joint Stock Company “Latvijas dzelzceļš”. The event is organized by the association “StrettaART”.
