Maslenitsa – farewell to winter in the traditions of Slavic peoples. The event program includes:
Fun games and attractions for the whole family
Traditional dishes offered by national cultural societies
Craftsmen and home-made products market
Horseback riding
The festive concert will feature Ventspils groups and soloists, but the special guest will be the folklore ensemble “Vereteno” from Riga.
The culmination of the celebration (around 15.00:XNUMX p.m.) is the burning of the straw effigy of Maslenitsa, symbolically saying goodbye to winter and inviting spring.

On March 2, when we will celebrate Maslenitsa at the Seaside Open-Air Museum – farewell to winter in Slavic traditions, there will also be an opportunity to ride the Mazbānīte!
