On Tuesday, March 25, at 12.00:XNUMX, children's book author Ilze Skrastiņa will meet with readers at the Gāliņciems Library as part of the project "How I Wrote a Book" supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation.
The author will talk to readers about writing, the prototypes of the main characters, the children's jury book "A Wonderful Life Without Zoom", which was the author's first book, and other books written later. Children will be able to participate in a small competition with prizes, participate in movement games, and watch a film on how to draw an animated film themselves.
Ilze Skrastiņa is an animator by profession and has been a screenwriter for several films by the “Dauka” studio. Ilze Skrastiņa made her literary debut in 2021 with the book “A Wonderful Life Without Zoom”. The book is based on true events. It was nominated for the 2022 Children, Youth and Parents Jury. After that, Ilze Skrastiņa wrote several more books: “How to Go to School? Normally” (2022), “What Do You Do? Nothing” (2023), “Friends List. Will Everyone Be Deleted?” (2024).
Ilze Skrastiņa's books are intended for primary school children, but they have also been loved by parents and teachers.
