Guntars Račis' 60th anniversary concert will feature only songs created together with Maestro Raimonds Pauls, many of which have already become classics of their genre and modern folk songs! Sparkling joy, cheerful and time-tested songs, solid sing-alongs and an exciting performance await you – a real whirlwind of Maestro Raimonds Pauls' melodies! At the concert you will hear several new songs co-created by both authors, but the majority of the program consists of songs from Pauls and Račis's beloved song albums "Lecam pa vecam" and "Nekur nav tik labi kā mājās". Therefore, the original performers of the songs are invited to participate in the concerts: Ance Krauze, Normunds Rutulis and, in several concerts, Marija Naumova. The concert will also be enriched by the children's vocal ensemble "Dzeguzīte" and the new Latvian country music star Edvards Strazdiņš. There will also be special and previously unannounced guests at certain concerts.
The songs that will be played at the concerts already speak for themselves – “Lecam pa vecam”, “Raudāja māte”, “Cāļus šāda arštība”, “Nekur nav tis labi kamājs”, “Kūko, kūko, ceguzīte”, “Tikai nesaki nekanam”, “Lakstīgala”, “Sudraba laikrodīt's”, ”Rasa”, “'Sūpoles”, “Es tevi gaidīšu”, “Anniņa vanniņa”, “Kapteinis Reinis”, “Es šonak sētšu uz jumta” and many others! The concerts will feature
instrumental group, as well as the author himself.
After the concert, Guntars will sign autographs and is ready for selfies! Guntars' poetry books “365”, song CD albums and vinyl records, sheet music, the new autobiographical book “Trakais”, and a book of 500 song lyrics by Raimonds Pauls will be available at the concert venue.
