Brigita Ozoliņš is an emerging fiction writer with an established career as a visual artist, best known for her large-scale installations about language, literature and lesser-known historical events. Brigita is a professor at the University of Tasmania and is writing a novel about her mother’s escape from Latvia. This work was shortlisted for the 2021 Richell Emerging Writers Prize and won the Australian Society of Authors Mentor Award in 2022. The conversation will focus on Brigita’s artistic practice and her upcoming book.
