In the very heart of Ventspils – in Ventspils Market – is the Ventspils winery "WINDAU WINES", which produces wines, ciders, sparkling wines and spirits on site.
The drinks are made from berries, fruits, flowers and even birch sap harvested in the Ventspils area. The particularly delicious honey wines and spirits come from the winemaker's homeland, Lubāna, where the winemaker's father and brother are engaged in beekeeping.
Birch sap wine is especially well-known and popular - a wine that has traveled to the most distant places in the world, such as Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, France, Germany, Russia, etc.
The winery's assortment is variable, we independently offer more than five different types of wines, and several types of liqueurs, brandies, brandy, calvados (apple brandy), gin and even whiskey.
Our products can be tasted and purchased in our store at Tirgus Street 8, Ventspils, as well as in various mobile shops.
For leisurely visitors, we also offer a tasting of our homemade products, although the time must be agreed in advance.
