Ventspils Culture Center's middle-generation dance group “Strautuguns” invites you to a special stage dance event – the concert “Signs that Tell Stories”, which will take place on October 11 at 6:00 PM at the theater house “Jūras vārti”.

The concert will bring together dancers from different generations, creating a rich and colorful dance story. The middle-generation dance groups “Strautuguns”, “Ance”, “Dardedze”, “Dzīpars”, “Sudmaliņas” and “Rotaļa XO”, the youth dance group “Strautuguns”, as well as the dance ensemble “Dancītis” will meet on stage.

The concert will be a journey through the world of Latvian symbols, where each symbol gains new life, transforming into movement and rhythm. The organizers emphasize that symbols are not just ornaments – they store the wisdom and message of our people’s life, which is still relevant today. The Laima sign will be particularly highlighted – the guardian of a person’s life path, which encourages trust in fate; the Sun sign – a symbol of the rhythm of life, light and fertility, which brings warmth and security to the home; the Fire Cross – a reflection of light, movement and continuous life energy. On stage, these signs will transform into dance – as stories about hope, security and strength, which unite the heritage of our ancestors with today’s feelings.

The concert "Signs That Tell" will be more than a series of dance performances - it will be a shared experience, where each dance fragment, like a piece of a mosaic, will weave into a unified story about the spirit, rhythm, and eternity of the people.

Ticket price: 5 EUR (available in advance at the “Biļešu paradīze” box office and on the internet).
