The world-famous English comedy master Ray Cooney's play "Run for your wife..." (in the original language "Run for your wife") is coming to the audience. The farce master's productions make millions of viewers laugh to tears, and this play is no exception! "Run for your wife..." is a work highly appreciated by critics and viewers, for which the author has received awards not only in Europe. This comedy has been used as a basis for film scripts that have been shown on screens in many parts of the world. Moreover, this comedy is still considered the longest-running production in the famous London West End theater.
The main character of the plot is a taxi driver John Smith (Andris Daugavins). John drove passengers both during the day and, of course, at night, according to a strictly drawn-up schedule. Nothing special, you might say? This is where the main intrigue begins! Because John was not like his other colleagues – he lived two parallel lives at the same time, staying in two different places of residence with two completely different wives (Lelde Dreimane and Linda Kalniņa)! All this is possible, of course, if you stick to a strictly drawn-up schedule. This would have continued forever, without arousing the slightest suspicion, if not for the clever John Smith getting into a fight, as a result of which he suffered a serious head injury, and Smith woke up in the hospital.
The world, which is tightly controlled, is starting to unravel! Saving his own skin, Smith is caught up in trying to explain the situation to both wives. The melodrama is growing. Helping his friend, Smith's friend and neighbor (Rihards Lepers) come to his aid with their own tricks. But the situation is getting even crazier! To make things even more complicated, even the police (Jānis Jarāns and Valdis Pavlovskis) get involved in the investigation. Now all that's left is to escape! But maybe there's still hope for a way out?
