On Saturday, February 24, at 1:00 p.m., the Ventspils Music Library will host an educational and entertaining class for preschool children “Music Lesson for the Family.” This time, the class will introduce you to the accordion.

The accordion is a wind instrument. Did you know? The sound of accordions is not produced by blowing air from the mouth, but is produced by hand-operated bellows. It resembles a box with keys on one side and buttons on the other. In the hands of a skilled player, the accordion can sound like an organ, but we can also dance to its accompaniment at a fun party.

Together with students of the Ventspils Music School and teacher Natalja Cinkmani, we will learn everything about this wonderful instrument. We will hear soloists, duets and ensemble playing. Of course, we will also dance.

Music lessons are held once a month from September to May. The aim of the educational lesson is to learn to listen to music, get to know instruments, composers, and styles of various compositions. Participants are aged 3-6 years.

The event is free, no registration is required.
