In the program Imants Ramiņš's violin concerto and pieces for choir
Māris Sirmais, who is the artistic director of this concert, has included the a cappella compositions “Stabat Mater” and “Alleluia, Amen” in the concert at the special request of the author. In addition, the concert will feature the choral composition “Jūrai” (the author’s dedication to the State Academic Choir “Latvija”), “Singet dem Herrn” etc., as well as “Jau sauļeite” (the author’s dedication to Māris Sirmais). A special event will be the premiere of Imants Ramiņš’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in Latvia, which will be performed by soloist Laura Zariņš and the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra.
The concert is organized by Ltd. “Kurzeme Philharmonic”.
