Ventspils Seaside Open-Air Museum (Riņķa Street 2) and dog friends invite you to the event “Different Ways About Dogs” on Saturday, September 19 from 12:00. “Different Ways About Dogs” is a special and exciting event that, for the third year in September, brings together experienced dog owners, dog friends, families with children, families with dogs, as well as other city residents and guests, offering a fairly diverse program.
During the event, you will be able to receive advice from a dog wool spinner, discovering these skills and the unique properties of the material, and consultations from a dog school will also be available. Veterinarian Ineta Eglīte will lead discussions on the use of beekeeping and honey products to strengthen dogs' health and immunity (apitherapy).
The program will focus on raising dogs of different breeds and sizes. We will talk about both large and small dogs, as well as integrating shelter dogs into the family and understanding the special needs of new friends. In turn, parents whose offspring dream of having a pet will find answers to the current question: "What to do? The child wants a dog!".
The cultural program and uplifting atmosphere will be provided by the group “Brāļi Rozentāli” and the youth dance group “Strautuguns”. There will also be other exciting demonstrations – dog dances, which demonstrate the close bond between dogs and humans.
The fact that all modern dog breeds belong to a single species and descended from the gray wolf (Canis lupus) ancestors, it is a known fact. There are almost 400 dog breeds in the world, from miniature to very large dogs, but regardless of size, it is a dog that can become the most reliable and courageous friend.
We invite you to spend a nice day together, gaining new knowledge and good emotions! Entrance with museum tickets – 6 EUR for adults, 3 EUR for students. Entrance with dogs only upon presentation of a pet passport (dogs can only be on a leash at the event).
Event support – SIA “NovusVet Latvia”, SIA “Lusky like”, Ventspils Animal Breeders Association, Non-profit organization “Helper Latvia”, Non-profit animal protection association “For Animal Rights”, Canine freestyle Latvia, Premium dog kennel “Akita Latvia-Amber Yule Kennel”, Group “Brāļi Rozentāli”, Youth dance group “Strautuguns”.
