VENTSPILS 

CASTLE OF THE LIVONIAN ORDER (Jāņa iela 17):

  • Ventspils Museum exhibition “Vasarnīcu Street”. It is a story of buildings, lifestyle, families, people, and their destinies in the late 19th and early 20th century in Ventspils. The exhibition features items from the collection of Ventspils Museum and from private collections (by I. Sarma, M. Cara, the family Mikutovičs, and G. Brūns).
  • From 7 April to 19 June: Exhibition “New Acquisitions of the Museum”. The exhibition features new acquisitions of Ventspils Museum in the time period between 2020 and 2021.
  • From 22 April to 3 July: Exhibition “Spring Notes” by J. Murovskis.
  • From 25 May to 14 August: Exhibition “Made in Museum IX | Different Types of Skirts”. The exhibition was created by the Ventspils Museum, in collaboration with the design and technology teachers from various local schools.

Puze Library (Bibliotēka, Puzes pag., Ventspils novads)

  • 01.05.- 30.06. ‘Work as a Standard of Life’: exhibition of local history materials as a dedication to the 90th anniversary of Gunārs Pornieks, a prominent person in the Puze Rural Area.

         (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00 to 17:00, Tuesday 10:00 to 19:00, Friday 10:00 to 16:00)

Ugāle Library (Bērnudārzs “Lācītis”, Ugāles pag., Ventspils novads)

  • Until 31.08. ‘Generate Travelling Ideas by Means of Old Travel Postcards’: exhibition/collection of old travel postcards, including the postcards from the collection of the Ugāle Library issued during the interwar period and Soviet regime (1958–1981). Postcards of Latvian cities (including Ventspils), rivers, roads, and landscapes, as well as travel photographs taken by the locals. The exhibition also features guidebooks that mention the Ugāle Rural Area.
