We invite students and young people of any age, together with their teachers, who are interested in learning about the history of the city of Ventspils to apply by November 17th.
The program will introduce you to the museum's collection exhibition "Printed in Ventspils" in the exhibition hall of the Livonian Order Castle. In the lesson, we will learn about the importance of printing in the history of Ventspils. Not only newspapers were published in the city, but also small books of fiction, postcards and various informational materials or miniatures. Money also had to be printed.

Let's find out how many and different newspapers were once printed in the city: “Venta Review”, “New Life”, “Venta Streams”, “Red Venta”, “Venta Voice” and even "Bee" – children's and youth newspaper.
There will also be an opportunity to see “Venta Voice” the last printing presses work already in the 21st century.
In the interactive part of the program, you will be able to find out what the daily life of a newspaper editor is like? How are newspaper texts and photographs created? Time to get into different professions and create the first issue of your own newspaper!
