On September 24 at 11.00:15.00 AM in the Children's Town and at XNUMX:XNUMX PM in the children's park "Fantāzija", families with children will be able to participate in Michaelmas traditions, play autumn games, solve riddles, enjoy pony rides and sing ancient folk songs together.
Michaelmas is a special time to start preparing for winter and enjoy more time with family. Around this time, summer chores are completed, crops are harvested, and preparations for the cold months begin.
Michaelmas rides with the kind pony Briga, the blue-eyed pony Cabuli, and the horse Neo will also be available. The owner of the ponies, Asnāte Šlisere, has been involved in equestrian sports for 18 years and purchased these ponies for the enjoyment of her daughter and other children.
The Ventspils House of Creativity hosts the folklore studio “Vācelīte”, offering exciting and educational classes for children. This program includes ancient customs of the seasons and combines a cycle of eight classes, in which experienced educators Ilga Porniece, Ineta Kalniņa and Sandra Gūtmane allow children to get acquainted with Latvian folk traditions and understand them through games.
Free event.
The event is organized by the Ventspils Culture Center and supported by the Ventspils City Municipality.
