On February 25 at 4:00 PM, flamenco guitarist Daniel Casares' new concert program "Magiterráneo" will be performed at the "Latvija" concert hall in Ventspils.
The outstanding flamenco guitarist will visit Eastern Europe, bringing with him the moods of the Mediterranean region, which inspire with its power, poetic magic and the feeling of the presence of the gods. This musical event will feature beautiful melodies, allowing you to experience the land where olive and laurel trees are greenest, and the sea, by which Daniel Casares most enjoys creating his compositions. The concert program consists of tango and various compositions of the traditional flamenco music form, their sole purpose – to unleash positive emotions, happiness and peace in the listeners.
The accompanying band will complement the guitar sound with vocals, bass guitar, percussion, the hand-beat rhythm characteristic of the flamenco music style, and even dance elements.

Daniel Casares is a composer and one of the most internationally renowned Spanish flamenco guitarists of our time. He was born near Malaga, in the South of Spain. His guitar playing reflects the contrast and temperamental sound characteristic of this region. Thanks to his technical virtuosity and mastery, Daniel is open to new challenges in music. In 2014, Daniel's symphonic work "La luna de Alejandra" was released, created in collaboration with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra. During his career, he has collaborated with various international artists in other musical genres and performed on such world-famous stages as the Royal Albert Hall in London or the prestigious Carnegie Hall.
The concert in Ventspils is taking place as part of the artist's European tour.
The concert is organized by SIA "Kurzemes filharmonija". The event is financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Ventspils City Municipality.
