From 12.00 a Fish Market will take place in Užava, in the green area of the Meeting House and on the stage.
You will be able to buy fresh, smoked and otherwise prepared fish, as well as goods from various craftsmen, home producers and other traders. Children can take part in creative workshops and adults can bid in a live auction.
The market will be hosted by Latvian actor and musician Kristians Kareļins, accompanied by a cultural program. This year, there is a new addition—a photo booth where, for a symbolic fee, you can take a photo as a lasting memory from the Fish Market.
The cultural program will feature lively dances by the Targale Primary School folk dance group “Dore,” comprising students from grades 5 to 9, and the Ugāle Youth Dance Collective “Sidrabiņš.”
The celebration will conclude at 3:00 PM with a concert by the group “Trīs vīri laivā,” featuring musicians Ingars Viļums, Sandris Sproģis, and Jānis Krūmiņš.
