In 2011, celebrating Flower Day and gathering participants of the 34th Latvian Flower Friends Meeting, a flower sculpture with a father, mother and baby hares sleeping in a willow plantation was unveiled in Ventspils. In 2012, another hare was added to the sculpture's composition.
Dimensions for the hares are 1,3-2,7 m long, 1,2-2,0 m wide and 1,5-3,5 m high. Around 4000 annual flower plants were used.
