Since 2019, the location of the new fountain ''Lietussargs'' - at the intersection of Ganību - Jūras - Kuldīgas streets - has been a complement and continuation of the two existing fountains ''Valzivs'' and ''Saules laiviņas''.
The surrounding streets, with their traffic and the small island of rest between them, symbolically invite you to stop in your daily routine and catch your breath, at least for a moment, while watching the fallen umbrella dripping with water.
The ''Umbrella'' is intended as a symbol that creates safety, protects and unites! It creates safety for society, protects two lovers, a game for a small child who can hide from their parents.
The well-maintained Newspaper Alley tempts you to make an appointment here, so that after a while you can continue on your way again!
