Sculptural object “Seven Mental Meteorites” (author: O. Feldbergs)
The people of Ventspils affectionately call them stone ladybugs, but the official name of the sculpture group is “Seven Mental Meteorites”. These stones have various shapes and sizes, some of them resemble natural formations, while others are carved and split to take the desired shape. The enduring monumental rock – stone – formations of Latvia and Courland can be interpreted differently by each viewer: while one indulges in fantasy and sees planets, another sees an abstract life cycle in the distance through the path of stones.
