The center of Pārventa is a modern part of the city of Ventspils, where architecture, culture, and well-maintained urban space come together in one place.
Architecturally attractive Parventa Library has become a popular recreational and cultural place for both Ventspils residents and city guests. It offers a diverse collection for children and adults, as well as cultural and lifelong learning events. Visitors also have access to exhibitions, concerts and thematic events that regularly take place in the library.
Opposite the library is Fountain "Dune Pine" – a unique environmental object, designed as a stylized tree with water jets in its branches. It creates various water effects – from rain and fog to waterfall flows, complemented by light plays. The fountain is one of the most recognizable elements of the center of Pārventa. The fountain is perfectly complemented by the sculpture of a nearby residential house – a chimney sweep with a pipe and a cat.
Also nearby is flower sculpture "Ladybugs", which depicts five ladybugs – two adults and three children – on blooming daisies. It was unveiled in 2012 as a gift to the city's residents.
