The 21,45 ha Mežaparks and the children's park "Fantāzija" within its territory were planned and built in 2002-2006, simultaneously with the construction of the railway junction "Jūras parks". The pine forest area adjacent to the residential area was landscaped with gravel paths, places for active and passive recreation, and lighting.
So that young Ventspils residents and city guests could also have fun spending their free time in Pārventa on a well-maintained playground, in June 2023, 8 new play equipment with a complex group of obstacles and climbing net elements were installed on the Mežaparks Jungle Trail, intended for children from 3 years old.
To guarantee the safety of the equipment and compliance with modern standards, a certified inspection of the playground equipment was carried out at Mežaparks Jungle Trail, receiving confirmation of the equipment's compliance with safety requirements.
