This place has a special significance in the nature and history of Jurkalne. In the 17th century, a place was chosen here for the Felixberga Manor. Its name appeared in ancient maps and documents. And for three whole centuries it reigned in nature and writings. From the existence of the manor, the name of the river – Muižupīte.

The gravel road near Muižupīte is in the old place, as close to the sea as anywhere in Kurzeme. It is rarely convenient to get to the sea along the river ravine. It is appreciated by both mothers with children and older people. On warm sea and sunny days, this is a popular place for walks, swimming and relaxation.
