Concert Hall “Latvija” – Northern Kurzeme Music, Art and Cultural Education Center – concert activities began in July 2019. Respecting the local and national context, the new concert hall's repertoire consists of performances of the best Latvian music, as well as exclusive and first-time concerts by foreign artists.
What makes the musical offering special the use of two musical instruments that are unique on a global scale.
The concert hall "Latvija" features both a barrel organ from the German organ building company "Johannes Klais Orgelbau" and the world's largest piano by the Latvian-born piano builder Dāvids Kļaviņš.

Awards
- In the 2016 competition “The Most Sustainable Building and Project 2016”, the main award in the nomination “The Most Sustainable Project 2016 in Latvia” was won by the Ventspils Music Secondary School with a concert hall function.
- In the 2017 competition “Technology and Design Innovation Award” in the nomination “Public Outdoor Space”, Ventspils Great Square and fountain “Fregate “Whale”” won 1st place.
- In September 2019, the Concert Hall “Latvija” and Ventspils Music Secondary School won 1st place in the IFD AWARD 2019 nomination – facades (ventilated).
- On April 2020, 17, the Concert Hall “Latvija” and Ventspils Music Secondary School (transformation of the Great Square, Concert Hall “Latvija” and Ventspils Music School at Great Square 1, Ventspils) won 1st place in the nomination “Public New Building” at the “Best Building of the Year in Latvia 2019” competition.
- On August 2020, 26, the Concert Hall “Latvija” and Ventspils Secondary School of Music received honorable mention at the international design competition “World Design Awards 2020”.
- On September 2020, 2, in the sustainable construction, architecture and design competition “Sustainability in Architecture, Construction and Design”, the concert hall “Latvija” and the Ventspils Music Secondary School building won the award-winning 1st place in the nomination “Most Sustainable Building”.
- In the competition "The Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2020" announced by the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development and the magazine "Būvinženieris", the Concert Hall "Latvija" and Ventspils Music Secondary School won 1st place in the nomination "The Most Energy-Efficient Public Building"
