Since there was a bridge at the construction site in the 20s that had completely collapsed and could not be rebuilt, the riverbed was cleaned and the old piles were removed.
Project goal: to increase the flow of pedestrians and cyclists along the Baltic Sea coast nature trails, connecting natural and cultural heritage sites in Užava parish.
An organized flow of pedestrians and cyclists helps to preserve and popularize the Baltic Sea coastal area in Užava parish, its unique natural objects – the Grey Dune, the mouth of the Užava River, as well as the Užava Lighthouse, the Lutheran Church and other objects, ensuring their easy accessibility.
