One of the city's most popular tourism and recreation attractions is the Ventspils Freeport excursion ship Hercogs Jēkabs.
During the 45-minute ride, you have the opportunity to see the mouth of the Venta River, the old town, the industrial area and the sea gate of the Ventspils Freeport. There are 150 seats on the boat.
Boat schedule:
From May to September:
- Mondays and Tuesdays - free.
- Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 11:00; 13:00; 15:00; 17:00.
- Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: 11:00; 13:00; 15:00; 17:00; 18:00.
- ! Flights may be canceled or changed due to unforeseen circumstances, strong winds or fog.
Dinners:
The journey takes 45 minutes.
- Adults: 5.00 EUR
- For pupils, students, pensioners: 2.00 EUR
- For preschool children, a person with a disability (upon presentation of a certificate) and their accompanying person: Free of charge
- The flight takes place if there are at least 5 passengers!
Ticket purchase and terms
- Children under the age of 10 may only be on the boat if accompanied by an adult.
- Organized trips can be booked between schedule times. The fee for one group booked trip is EUR 300.
