Heading to Cape Kolka, you will arrive at one of the most unique places in Latvia – the northernmost point of the Kurzeme Peninsula. Here, the open Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Riga meet, creating a spectacular interplay of waves and currents.
Cape Kolka is special not only for its landscape, but also for its natural and cultural-historical significance. It is an excellent place for bird watching, especially during migration, as well as one of the rare places where it is possible to watch both sunrise and sunset at sea in one place.
Visitors have access to well-maintained recreation areas, walking routes and nature trails, which allow them to enjoy the coastal landscape, dunes and proximity to the sea. Nearby is the Kolka Lighthouse, located on an artificial island in the sea and an important symbol of the coast.
